Zucchini Nightmare

Myself and Robyn very much care for zucchini. We have so much of it around the house from wonderful neighbors and our families. The kids on the other hand, have some issues with it. This was one of those quick, "paper plate", mom and dad are tired, dinners.

So welcome to our version of TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND. Here on TDI, we decided to get Adds & Hold to try 2 (two) pieces of zuke apiece. And I mean, not even large ones, just tiny pieces. They were told they could not go out to play until they ate every bit of their measly two chunks. Holden snacked his no problem, then began reminding us how good he is. (Nigh unto perfection) Addilynne on the other hand freaked. Those are real live dry heaves by the way...

I am totally dying--that is the funniest thing I have ever seen (though I'm sure Adds doesn't see the humor in it). I think she's ready for Fear Factor now that she's faced those horrifically awful pieces of zucchini. The eyes rolling back in her head is classic...

Oh, and you should tell her she's lucky she doesn't live at my house where my kids have to endure zucchini in some form for EVERY meal. seriously.

OH MY HECK! That dry heave pic is KILLING ME! Isn't there a horror movie about a face like that spewing green?! A couple more heaves like that and I think we would get the spewing part! :)

I am SO glad to know that this happens at other houses too! :)

She must get that dry heaving attribute from her mother. I've witnessed some good dry heaves from Robyn. Jared would probably do the same thing if I made him eat zucchini, and he is 31.

I loved this! I can remember having to sit at the breakfast table until I would eat my "now cold" fried egg whites. When I gagged, I made Mom laugh and she let me off the hook. Believe it or not, it's the whites that I like best now! I actually laughed out loud-- Parenting is so fun, isn't it! By the way, Robino, I tagged you! I love you, though!

Robyn this yet one more confirmation that Addy is your child. I remember you dry heaving on the stage at PGHS during an assembly and many and many other times...especially when you actually vomitted on my blue shag play room carpet!
